Get that stings hurt but that kid was 100% playing it up for the cameras. All that screaming and not a single tear? Really over exaggerated face pulling of what he thinks a person in pain looks like. If the cameras weren’t there this kid would not have played up like this. The kid should spend 24 hours in paediatrics in A&E, that will show him real kids in pain and how it looks.

back pain has got to be one of the worst places to feel pain because anything you move it hurts.

CPR is one of the most confronting and exhausting things I have ever had to do. This footage brought back the panic and sadness that I felt for the person. I’m so glad the lifeguards got to debrief afterwards and learn what they did well and could have done better. I am so glad the man survived and they all got the closure they needed seeing he was alive and well. I didn’t get any debriefing or closure and I don’t know if the man survived, therapy helped a bit but this brought it all back for me. I wish everyone knew CPR so we could give everyone the same chance as this guy. CPR stays with you forever I think.

I know in the states (US) with major trauma incidents we’re trained to backboard patients especially like the male involved in the race at accident. Is there a difference of training, steps, or procedures for backboarding major trauma patients up where this show is? (I assume Canada?)

Wow, no wonder people end up with crippling medical debt going off how the paramedics treat patients! Guy is in the road, hit by big-rig, broken legs and unknown other injuries and they just pick him up and dump him on the ambulance bed?! No leg splints, no spinal or neck support until already in the ambulance AFTER picking up by shoulders and dumping them, so I guess screw his ability to walk potentially, or his broken leg bones slicing up the inside of his legs. No roadside RSI or helimed support. No pain meds. Nothing. If that's how I was treated and it was filmed, I would sue the absolute CRAP out of the individual paramedics involved and the medical system that trained them! Sure I might survive, but in the US with having to pay for medical bills, rehab, having basically zero social net to help if I'm now disabled?? I'd have been better off dying at the roadside quite honestly. Sheesh! Also that one with the guy and the window, no you don't need to be a detective or figure out "the truth" of what happened. Ultimately it doesn't matter, you treat the obvious injuries and let scans at hospital determine the rest. Knowing mechanism of injury helps, but it's not vital. That's not your job as a medic, that's the cops job if it's that important.
